Dear friends and fans of the “Weekend of Horrors”
Unfortunately we have just been told, that our events location “Saalbau, Bottrop” in Germany has cancelled all forthcoming cultural events in 2016 and will become a “refugee” camp/shelter in January.
We are therefore seeking a new location for our upcoming conventions and are already in communication with a few. As soon as we´ll have further news, we will let you know.
Due to the circumstances we will also have to postpone our pre sales, that were meant to start this weekend.
We sincerely apologise and hope for your understanding.

Dear fans and visitors,
your WEEKEND OF HORRORS team has thought a lot about next year’s double occupancy. Especially our fans and supporters deserve an event which doesn’t only live for the thought of competing, but has a surplus for the people who spend their hard-earned money on such events.
That’s why we merged together the upcoming WEEKEND OF HORRORS and the WEEKEND OF HOLLYWOOD. We will organize a 4 day long mega – event for you: „ WEEKEND OF HORRORS MEETS HOLLYWOOD“ starting on the September 30th until October 3rd 2016 at the Saalbau Bottrop. Big Hollywood names from all movie genres (Horror, Action, Sci-Fi,…) and not only actors but e.g. famous directors will be there as well. Screenings of new movies and cult-classics alternate with the newest independent productions court for the audience’s favor. A top-class jury will give away various awards, our short film competition goes into the next round,…
The tickets will be available online at the end of November, just in time for christmas!
Altogether, this weekend won’t be just a convention, in fact it’ll be a film festival rounded up with international merchants who will bring their BluRays, DVDs, books, comics, audiobooks, gimmicks and merchandise with them.
